What is a session?
A session is a saved collection of tabs that you can restore later. Think of it as a bookmark folder, but for your entire browser state — including scroll positions and form data where possible.
Creating project-based sessions
Instead of keeping 50 tabs open for a project, save them as a session. Name it something meaningful like "Q1 Marketing Research" or "Product Comparison - Laptops". When you need those tabs, restore the session. When you don't, they're safely stored without consuming memory.
Template sessions
Create template sessions for recurring work. A "Morning Routine" session might include your email, calendar, news sites, and project management tool. One click and you're set up for the day.
Research workflow example
- Start researching a topic — open relevant tabs
- When you hit 15-20 tabs, save the session
- Continue working or switch context
- Later, restore the session and pick up exactly where you left off
- Add new tabs, save again
Combining with tab freezing
Sessions work even better when combined with automatic tab freezing. TabQuell Pro offers unlimited sessions plus automatic memory management — your open tabs stay frozen until needed, and your saved sessions are always ready to restore.
